Abstract
A motor vehicle lock, in particular a motor vehicle tailgate lock, which is equipped with a locking mechanism substantially consisting of a rotary latch and a pawl. Furthermore, an additional reinforcing element couples the rotary pin of the rotary latch to the rotary pin of the pawl at a distance to a lock case. According to the invention, the reinforcing element is additionally connected to a door panel or a vehicle body component.

A motor vehicle lock, in particular a motor vehicle tailgate lock, having a locking mechanism substantially consisting of a rotary latch and a pawl, and having an additional reinforcing element that couples at least the rotary pin of the rotary latch to the rotary pin of the pawl at a distance from a lock case,
