Abstract

Provided are a pretreatment liquid for textile printing, an ink set for textile printing, and a textile printing method, which is capable of obtaining a printed article having excellent washing fastness, favorable texture, and excellent image quality. The present invention relates to a pretreatment liquid for textile printing, containing a quaternary ammonium cation represented by Formula (1), having a formula weight of 100 to 300, in which a content of the quaternary ammonium cation represented by Formula (1) is 5% by mass to 30% by mass with respect to the total amount of the pretreatment liquid for textile printing, and the pretreatment liquid for textile printing is used before image recording on a fabric using an ink for textile printing, containing a pigment.
