The method includes the steps of: heating a steel slab having a defined chemical composition then hot rolling the steel slab to obtain a hot-rolled sheet; cold rolling the hot-rolled sheet once, or two or more times with intermediate annealing in between, to obtain a cold-rolled sheet; subjecting the cold-rolled sheet to decarburization annealing to obtain a decarburized annealed sheet; applying an annealing separator to the decarburized annealed sheet and then coiling the decarburized annealed sheet to obtain a coil; and subjecting the coil to final annealing. In the final annealing, at both a hottest point and a coolest point of the coil, a heating rate H1 from room temperature to 850° C. is 10.0° C./h or more and a heating rate H2 from 850° C. to 950° C. is 15.0° C./h or less.
