Abstract
Herein is disclosed a method for manufacturing in a fluid bed granulator an enzyme granule comprising a core, an enzyme layer, and a coating, as well as a corresponding enzyme granule and a pellet containing the enzyme granule.
Claims15
A method of manufacturing enzyme granules comprising:
- i. feeding dry particle cores into a processing chamber of a fluid bed granulator;
- ii. spraying into the processing chamber an enzyme formulation comprising an enzyme and a negatively charged macromolecule to obtain agglomerates;
- and
- iii. coating the agglomerates with a coating agent to provide the enzyme granules.
