Abstract
An opto-electronic device includes: a first electrode; an organic layer disposed over the first electrode; a nucleation promoting coating disposed over the organic layer; a nucleation inhibiting coating covering a first region of the opto-electronic device; and a conductive coating covering a second region of the opto-electronic device.
Claims19
An opto-electronic device comprising:
- a nucleation inhibiting coating (NIC) disposed in a first region of a lateral aspect of the device;
- and
- a conductive coating comprising a deposited material disposed in a second region of the lateral aspect of the device, the second region is substantially devoid of a closed coating of the NIC;
- wherein the NIC comprises a core moiety and at least one terminal moiety bonded to the core moiety, the core moiety comprising at least one nitrogen (N) atom and at least one phosphorus (P) atom.
