Abstract
A new compound or the like capable of forming a surface-treated layer with excellent abrasion resistance is provided. A compound according to the present disclosure is a compound comprising a group P shown below and an organopolysiloxane residue. Group P: —[Si(R1)2—X]n1—Si(R1)3 where: each X is independently an oxygen atom or a carbon atom; each R1 is independently a hydrolyzable group, a group having a hydrolyzable group, a hydroxyl group, or a hydrocarbon group; at least four of R1 are hydrolyzable groups, groups having a hydrolyzable group, or hydroxyl groups; and n1 is an integer of 1 to 3.
