Abstract

A carbon material dispersion may reduce a wide range of microorganisms, such as bacteria, molds, and yeasts, without adversely affecting other blending components, have high antiseptic and antibacterial effects, and high durability with a small amount over a long period of time under any environment, and thereby achieve both high dispersibility and storage stability. A slurry composition for a negative electrode for a secondary battery may use the dispersion, which is suitable for producing a battery such as a lithium ion battery and an electrode. Such a carbon material dispersion may contain at least a carbon material containing carbon nanotubes, a dispersant, a preservative, and a liquid medium. The preservative may contain a triazine-based compound and at least one of: a iodopropargyl-based, pyridine-based, pyrithione-based, oxyquinoline-based, benzothiazole-based, isothiazoline-based, and/or dithiol-based compound
