Abstract
The present invention relates to an antibody specifically binding to an IL-10 receptor and use thereof. The antibody targets IL-10 signaling and has an excellent effect of suppressing cytokine storm and excessive inflammation in severe inflammatory infectious diseases, and in particular, can be effectively used in suppressing inflammatory responses in severe SARS-CoV-2 infection and fatal SFTSV infection.
Claims9
1:
- A method of preventing or treating an inflammatory disease in a subject in need thereof, comprising:
- administering a therapeutic effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition comprising an antibody or an antigen-binding fragment thereof that specifically binds to an interleukin-10 (IL-10) receptor protein as an active ingredient to a subject in need thereof.
2:
- The method of claim 1, wherein the antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof specifically binds to an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 2 in the IL-10 receptor protein.
3:
- The method of claim 1, wherein the antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof specifically binds to an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 3 in the IL-10 receptor protein.
4:
- The method of claim 1, wherein the antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof specifically binds to an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 4 in the IL-10 receptor protein.
5:
- The method of claim 1, wherein the antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof is a polyclonal antibody or monoclonal antibody.
6:
- The method of claim 1, wherein the antigen binding fragment is scFv, (scFv)2, Fv, Fab, Fab′, Fv, F(ab′)2, a diabody, a triabody, a tetrabody, Bis-scFv, a nanobody, or a combination thereof.
7:
- The method of claim 1, wherein the inflammatory disease is a disease caused by one or more selected from the group consisting of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) virus, and highly pathogenic avian influenza A (H5N1).
