Abstract
The present invention relates to a hydrolysate obtained from insects, comprising at least 50% by weight of proteins, at least 7% by weight of lipids, at least 10.5% by weight of ash, the percentages by weight being indicated relative to the dry weight of the hydrolysate, and a solids content of between 15% and 35%, the percentage being given relative to the weight of the hydrolysate. The invention also relates to a method for preparing the hydrolysate, and to the use thereof in particular for improving the growth of fish.
Claims16
A hydrolysate obtained from insects, comprising at least 50% by weight of proteins, at least 7% by weight of lipids, at least 10.5% by weight of ash, the percentages by weight being given relative to the dry weight of the hydrolysate, and a dry matter content between 15 and 35% by weight, the percentage being given relative to the weight of the hydrolysate.
A method for preparing a hydrolysate from insects comprising the following steps:
- a) Separating the cuticles and the soft part of the insects,
- b) Separating the soft part of the insects into an aqueous fraction, an oily fraction and a solid protein fraction, and
- c) Enzymatic hydrolysis of the solid protein fraction.
