Abstract
A method of removing PFAS compounds from a water media includes introducing nanobubbles into the water media to form a nanobubble foam and thereby separate short-chain PFAS compounds from the contaminated water media. The nanobubbles may have a diameter between about 10 nm and 600 nm. A suitable gas or gas mixture is used to generate the nanobubbles. The method removes greater than 95% of the short-chain PFAS compounds from the water media.

A method of removing PFAS compounds from a water media comprising:
- introducing nanobubbles into the water media thereby forming a nanobubble foam and causing a separation of short-chain PFAS compounds from the contaminated water media.
A method, comprising:
- introducing nanobubbles into a fluid containing one or more short-chain PFAS molecules,
- causing the fluid to form a nanobubble foam to cause a separation of one or more of the PFAS molecules from the fluid.
