Abstract
A vehicle control station includes a hand rest including a grab portion and a forward surface and a joystick extending a linear distance from the forward surface. An operator is configured to operate the joystick while grasping the grab portion.

A vehicle control station comprising:
- a hand rest including a grab portion and having a forward surface;
- and
- a joystick coupled to the hand rest and extending forward from the forward surface,
- wherein the joystick is positioned to be operated by a hand of an operator while that hand grasps the grab portion.

- a switch configured to activate the joystick;
- wherein each of the joystick and the switch are positioned relative to the hand rest such that each of the joystick and the switch are accessible with one hand while the hand grasps the grab portion.
