Abstract

To obtain a control device for an off-road vehicle capable of allowing a driver to concentrate on a steering operation when an off-road vehicle stops forward movement on an uphill road surface and temporarily moves backward. A control device for an off-road vehicle according to the present invention includes: an acquisition section that acquires traveling state information of the off-road vehicle including vehicle speed information and traveling direction information; a target vehicle speed selection section that selects a forward target vehicle speed when moving the off-road vehicle forward and a backward target vehicle speed when moving the off-road vehicle backward as the target vehicle speed of the off-road vehicle on the basis of the traveling direction information acquired by the acquisition section; and an execution section that controls a braking force generated in a wheel in response to the vehicle speed information acquired by the acquisition section and the target vehicle speed selected by the target vehicle speed selection section while an accelerator of the off-road vehicle is not operated and executes hill descent control.
