A rear row plastic injection molded vehicle seat pan and tooling assembly for forming the same having application over multiple vehicle platforms, and which includes design variations covering any of trough shaping and contouring, reconfiguration of underside stanchion supports and associated dog ear mounting locations, and variations in rib quantity, design and rib wall construction in order to modify crash impact properties to achieve varied crashworthiness ratings. The seat pan can also be formed from either of a single or dual shot injection molded material, such further including utilizing different composite polymers to assist in achieving deformation properties resulting from an impact event which correspond to a desired crashworthiness rating.
