Abstract
A nozzle plate for a droplet ejection head. The nozzle plate includes one or more strips, the strips including one or more sub-strips, wherein said one or more sub-strips have one or more droplet ejection nozzles. The nozzle plate also includes one or more frames having one or more openings. Each of said one or more sub-strips fit within a corresponding opening in said one or more frames. Together, said one or more strips and said one or more frames present a media facing surface of the nozzle plate. Also provided are a droplet ejection head including one or more nozzle plates, a droplet ejection apparatus including one or more of said droplet ejection heads, and methods of manufacture of the nozzle plates.
Claims29
A nozzle plate for a droplet ejection head, the nozzle plate comprising:
- one or more strips, including one or more sub-strips, wherein said one or more sub-strips include one or more droplet ejection nozzles;
- and
- one or more frames, including one or more openings;
- wherein each of said one or more sub-strips fit within a corresponding opening in said one or more frames, and
- wherein said one or more strips and said one or more frames together present a media facing surface of the nozzle plate.
