A power tool comprising:
- a housing including a motor housing;
- a motor supported at least partially within the motor housing and having a motor shaft extending from a front end of the motor housing;
- a gear assembly driven by the motor shaft and supported within a gear case in front of the motor housing;
- and
- a rear cover coupled to a rear end of the motor housing, the rear cover comprising a printed circuit board assembly including a first circuit board, a second circuit board, and a support positioned between the first circuit board and the second circuit board.
A power tool comprising:
- a housing including a motor housing;
- a motor supported within the motor housing and having a motor shaft;
- a drive assembly configured to convert a continuous rotational input from the motor shaft to consecutive rotational impacts upon a workpiece, the drive assembly including a camshaft having a front portion and a rear portion defining a carrier, the rear portion being closer to the motor than the front portion;
- a gear assembly coupled between the motor shaft and the drive assembly, the gear assembly including a ring gear and a plurality of planet gears meshed with the ring gear;
- and
- a printed circuit board assembly coupled to the motor housing, the printed circuit board assembly including a first circuit board, a second circuit board, and a heat sink, the first circuit board and the second circuit board coupled to opposite sides of the heat sink.
A power tool comprising:
- a housing including a motor housing;
- a motor supported at least partially within the motor housing and having a motor shaft extending from a front end of the motor housing;
- a gear assembly driven by the motor shaft and supported within a gear case in front of the motor housing;
- and
- a rear cover coupled to a rear end of the motor housing by a first plurality of fasteners, the rear cover comprising a printed circuit board assembly including a support and first circuit board coupled to the support by a second plurality of fasteners,
- wherein the first circuit board includes a plurality of switches configured to control operation of the motor and a plurality of through-holes, and
- wherein each through-hole of the plurality of through-holes receives a head of a corresponding fastener of the first plurality of fasteners such that the first plurality of fasteners does not bear against the first circuit board in an axial direction.
