Abstract
A cutting tool having high accuracy of positioning an insert is awaited. A cutting tool according to an aspect of the present disclosure is a cutting tool extending from a front end toward a rear end and includes a holder including a pocket located on a side of the front end, an insert to be attached to the pocket, and a plurality of fixtures for fixing the insert to the pocket. The insert has a first surface and a second surface located on an opposite side of the first surface and includes a through hole opening in the first surface and the second surface and a first recessed portion located in the first surface. The plurality of fixtures include a first fixture inserted into the through hole and a second fixture engaged with the first recessed portion.

A cutting tool extending from a front end toward a rear end along a reference axis, the cutting tool comprising:
- a holder comprising a pocket located on a side of the front end;
- an insert to be attached to the pocket;
- and
- a plurality of fixtures for fixing the insert to the pocket, wherein
- the insert has
- a first surface and
- a second surface located on an opposite side of the first surface and comprises
- a through hole opening in the first surface and the second surface and
- a first recessed portion located in the first surface, and
- the plurality of fixtures comprise
- a first fixture inserted into the through hole and
- a second fixture engaged with the first recessed portion.
