The present invention relates to a microfluidic-based on-chip electrocatalytic microcell (OCEMC) system optimized for CO2 reduction reactions (CO2RR). Utilizing micro-nano fabrication and microfluidic control, the system enables precise diffusion control and minimizes external interferences. The design incorporates integrated microelectrodes and multi-functional components, including a gas-liquid mixing system, a flow stabilization system, and in situ analytical tools such as Raman spectroscopy and differential electrochemical mass spectrometry (DEMS). The OCEMC system enhances mass transfer efficiency, improves Faradaic efficiency, and supports phase-dependent studies, enabling comprehensive evaluations of catalytic mechanisms. This scalable and versatile platform expands the potential of electrocatalysis research and industrial applications by facilitating the rational design of high-performance catalysts.
