Abstract
The present invention relates to a water filter and an adapter for a water filter. A water filter according to an embodiment of the present invention is detachably coupled to a head connected to a water supply source and includes a filter housing accommodating a filter member for water purification, a filter cap covering an open upper surface of the filter housing and having a protruding inlet port and a protruding outlet port, and an adapter coupled to an upper end of the filter cap. In a state in which the adapter is coupled to the filter cap, the adapter is rotatably coupled to the head so that the inlet port and the outlet port are placed in communication with a flow path inside the head.
Claims20
A water filter detachably coupled to a head connected to a water supply source, the water filter comprising:
- a filter housing accommodating a filter member for water purification;
- a filter cap covering an open upper surface of the filter housing and provided with an inlet port and an outlet port;
- and
- an adapter coupled to the filter cap,
- wherein the adapter, in a state of being coupled to the filter cap, is rotatably coupled to the head so as to place the inlet port and the outlet port in communication with a flow path inside the head.
An adapter for a water filter, comprising:
- an outer member having an open upper surface and an open lower surface and defining a hollow space, the outer member being rotatably coupled to a head of a household appliance;
- and
- an inner member disposed inside the hollow and connected to an inlet port and an outlet port of the water filter,
- wherein the outer member rotates with respect to the inner member, and
- wherein, during rotational coupling of the outer member, the inner member moves upward and downward to connect the inlet port and the outlet port to a flow path of the head.
