A peripheral device comprising:

• a first portion to which a first game controller and a second game controller are detachably attached;
• and
• a second portion fixed to a rear side of the first portion and configured to be gripped by both hands of a user, wherein
• the first portion comprises
• a first recess located on a right side of the first portion, recessed leftward, and configured to receive a protrusion of the first game controller toward a bottom surface of the first recess, the protrusion being insertable into a first game device-side recess of a game device, and
• a second recess located on a left side of the first portion, recessed rightward, and configured to receive a protrusion of the second game controller toward a bottom surface of the second recess, the protrusion being insertable into a second game device-side recess of the game device,
• the second portion comprises
• a right-side part including a right-grip-part configured to be gripped by a right hand of the user, the right-side part being located to the right of the right side of the first portion in a front view, and
• a left-side part including a left-grip-part configured to be gripped by a left hand of the user, the left-side part being located to the left of the left side of the first portion in the front view,
• the right-side part at least partially overlaps the first recess in an upward-downward direction, and a front end of the right-side part is located rearward of the first recess in a front-rear direction, and
• the left-side part at least partially overlaps the second recess in the upward-downward direction, and a front end of the left-side part is located rearward of the second recess in the front-rear direction.
