The embodiments herein are directed to a wearable exercise device. The wearable exercise device comprises: a plate operatively connected to a boss, wherein the boss is configured to connect to a void inside an exercise vest; a first wall operatively connected to the plate; and a second wall operatively connected to the plate.

A device for use during resistance training comprising:
- a plate operatively connected to a boss;
- a first wall operatively connected to the plate;
- and
- a second wall operatively connected to the plate;
- wherein the plate, the first wall, and the second wall are absent of apertures on outer surfaces thereof;
- wherein the first wall has a different curvature than the second wall, without contacting each other.
