A method may include calculating, using a conversion factor based upon the particular volumetric capacity, widths for color-coded zones of a series of color-coded zones. A method may include printing the series of color-coded zones of varying widths and volumetric indicia onto a label for marking a surface of the substantially transparent vessel. A method may include placing the label on the substantially transparent vessel.
