Abstract
A drug injection device according to the present invention comprises a drug storage unit having a thickness that changes according to an amount of a drug injected, a pump assembly connected to the drug storage unit and configured to draw in and discharge a drug stored in the drug storage unit, and a drug injection detection unit configured to detect a thickness change of the drug storage unit and control operation of the drug injection device according to a change in a stored amount of the drug.
Claims9
A drug injection detection unit configured to detect injection of a drug into a drug storage unit, comprising:
- a support portion spaced apart from one side surface of the drug storage unit by a predetermined distance;
- a sensor coupled to one side of the support portion and disposed to be in contact with the one side surface of the drug storage unit, the sensor being configured to detect drug injection based on a thickness change of the drug storage unit;
- and
- a switch configured to operate according to a state of the sensor to be turned on and to output a control signal upon being turned on,
- wherein the sensor comprises:
- a body coupled to the support portion;
- and
- a sensor arm coupled to a pivot of the body and configured to pivot along a pivot axis,
- and wherein an end of the sensor arm is disposed to be in contact with the one side surface of the drug storage unit.
A drug injection device comprising:
- a drug storage unit having a thickness that changes according to an amount of a drug injected;
- a drug injection detection unit configured to detect a thickness change of the drug storage unit and output a control signal for initiating operation of the drug injection device;
- a controller configured to initiate operation of the drug injection device based on the control signal;
- and
- a pump assembly connected to the drug storage unit and configured to draw in and discharge a drug stored in the drug storage unit,
- wherein a drug is injected into the drug storage unit through a drug injection passage formed at one side of the pump assembly,
- and wherein the drug injection detection unit comprises:
- a support portion spaced apart from one side surface of the drug storage unit by a predetermined distance;
- a sensor coupled to one side of the support portion and disposed to be in contact with the one side surface of the drug storage unit, the sensor being configured to detect drug injection based on a thickness change of the drug storage unit;
- and
- a switch configured to be turned on according to a state of the sensor and to output a control signal upon being turned on.
An operating method of a drug injection device, comprising:
- injecting a drug into a drug storage unit of the drug injection device;
- detecting drug injection, by a drug injection detection unit disposed to be in contact with the drug storage unit, based on a thickness change of the drug storage unit;
- and
- outputting, when the drug injection is detected, by the drug injection detection unit, a control signal for initiating operation of the drug injection device to a controller of the drug injection device,
- wherein the detecting of the drug injection comprises detecting drug injection when a sensor arm is pressed due to a thickness change of the drug storage unit and a pivot angle of the sensor arm becomes equal to or less than a preset angle.
