Abstract
In one embodiment, the present invention provides an anti-cancer-associated non-tumor cell agent. In one embodiment, the present invention relates to an anti-cancer-associated non-tumor cell agent comprising an oncolytic virus comprising a p53 gene. In one embodiment, the present invention relates to an anti-cancer-associated non-tumor cell preparation comprising a recombinant virus comprising: a first gene cassette containing a telomerase reverse transcriptase promoter, an E1A gene, an IRES sequence and an E1B gene; and a second gene cassette containing a promoter and a p53 gene.
Claims19
A method for damaging a cancer-associated non-tumor cell, comprising:
- administering to a subject an anti-cancer-associated non-tumor cell agent comprising an oncolytic virus comprising a p53 gene,
- wherein administering the agent treats and/or prevents a cancer by damaging cancer-associated non-tumor cells, and wherein the cancer is selected from the group consisting of pancreas cancer, lung cancer, liver cancer, prostate gland cancer, bladder cancer, gallbladder/biliary duct cancer, breast cancer, uterus cancer, thyroid gland cancer and ovary cancer.
A method for damaging a cancer-associated non-tumor cell, comprising:
- administering to a subject an anti-cancer-associated non-tumor cell agent comprising a recombinant virus comprising:
- a first gene cassette containing a telomerase reverse transcriptase promoter, an adenoviral E1A gene, an IRES sequence and an adenoviral E1B gene;
- and
- a second gene cassette containing a promoter and a p53 gene,
- wherein the virus is a recombinant adenovirus,
- wherein the second gene cassette further comprises a poly A sequence downstream of the promoter and the p53 gene, and
- wherein the recombinant adenovirus lacks an E1 region or the E1 region is partially deleted,
- wherein administering the agent treats and/or prevents a cancer by damaging cancer-associated non-tumor cells, and wherein the cancer is selected from the group consisting of pancreas cancer, lung cancer, liver cancer, prostate gland cancer, bladder cancer, gallbladder/biliary duct cancer, breast cancer, uterus cancer, thyroid gland cancer and ovary cancer.
A method for damaging a cancer-associated non-tumor cell, comprising:
- administering to a subject an anti-cancer-associated non-tumor cell agent comprising a recombinant virus comprising:
- a first gene cassette containing a telomerase reverse transcriptase promoter, an adenoviral E1A gene, an IRES sequence and an adenoviral E1B gene;
- and
- a second gene cassette containing a promoter and a p53 gene,
- wherein the virus is a recombinant adenovirus,
- wherein the second gene cassette further comprises a poly A sequence downstream of the promoter and the p53 gene, and
- wherein the recombinant adenovirus lacks an E1 region or the E1 region is partially deleted, wherein administering the agent treats and/or prevents a cancer or disease by damaging cancer-associated non-tumor cells, and wherein the cancer or disease is the cancer or disease in which the presence of CAFs is an impediment to treatment.
