Abstract
The present invention is directed to the substance sevuparin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, for use in the treatment of a subject having a chronic kidney disease (CKD) which may also comprise anemia. This therapy may also be useful as combination therapy with standard of care (SOC) therapy, such as combination therapy with an erythropoiesis-stimulating agent (ESA) or with a HIF prolyl hydroxylase inhibitor agent.

A method for the treatment of a chronic kidney disease (CKD), comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of the compound sevuparin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to a subject in need of such treatment.
