Abstract

The present invention relates to novel compounds and their use as a medicament, in particular for use in treating proliferative disorders. The present invention relates further to a pharmaceutical composition comprising the novel compounds. Moreover, the present invention relates to a method of inhibiting proliferation or metastasis of cancer cells or inducing their cell death in a subject in need thereof. In addition, the present invention relates to a method of inhibiting proliferation of a cell population sensitive towards inhibiting RAS, in particular KRAS, HRAS and NRAS, activation in vitro. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a method of inhibiting proliferation of a cell population sensitive towards inhibiting eIF4A complex or engaging PHB 1/2 complex in the plasma membrane in vitro. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a kit containing a formulation comprising a pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound according to the invention.
