Abstract
Described herein are pet food compositions for reducing circulating pro-inflammatory cytokines in companion animals. Methods of making and using the same are also described.

A method of treating an inflammatory condition in a companion animal comprising administering to the companion animal in need thereof a pet food composition comprising:
- greater than about 0.10 wt % of polyunsaturated fatty acid comprising 20 or more carbons;
- and
- a botanical,
- wherein all wt % are with respect to the pet food composition on a dry matter basis.
