Compositions and methods of use thereof for improvement of skin health

A method for improving skin health of a subject comprising orally administering to the subject a composition comprising collagen and elastin, wherein collagen and elastin are present at a collagen to elastin ratio of from about 10:1 to about 30:1 (w:w), wherein the collagen is low molecular weight collagen having an average molecular weight from about 2000 Da to about 5000 Da, wherein the elastin is low molecular weight elastin having an average molecular weight from about 1300 Da to about 1500 Da, and wherein the composition further comprises vitamin C in an amount from about 1% to about 3% (w/w) and hyaluronic acid in an amount from about 2% to about 5% (w/w).

A nutritional supplement for enhancing skin health comprising:

• a composition comprising collagen and elastin present at a collagen to elastin ratio of from about 10:1 to about 30:1 (w:w), wherein the collagen is low molecular weight collagen having an average molecular weight from about 2000 Da to about 5000 Da and the elastin is low molecular weight elastin having an average molecular weight from about 1300 Da to about 1500 Da;
• hyaluronic acid comprising about 3.6% (w/w) of the supplement;
• and vitamin C comprising about 2.2% (w/w) of the supplement.
