Abstract
An argireline co-assembled system formed from betaine-malic acid as a deep eutectic solvent and argireline through non-covalent interaction and a method for preparing an argireline co-assembled system. The system can provide improved skin permeability of argireline and improved stability of argireline in skin care compositions.
Claims17
An argireline co-assembled system, wherein the argireline co-assembled system is a co-assembled system formed from betaine-malic acid as a deep eutectic solvent and argireline through non-covalent interaction.
A method for preparing an argireline co-assembled system, the method comprising the steps of:
- (i) preparing a deep eutectic solvent, the deep eutectic solvent being betaine-malic acid;
- (ii) mixing argireline and the betaine-malic acid deep eutectic solvent and stirring at a temperature of from about 20° C. to about 40° C.;
- and
- (iii) performing ultrasonication to induce co-assembling of the argireline and the betaine-malic acid deep eutectic solvent, thereby obtaining the argireline co-assembled system.
