Abstract
A composite particle including: a particle of cellulose or a cellulose derivative; and silica adhered to a surface of the particle, wherein the silica is a polymerized product of a tetraalkoxysilane in an amount of 1 to 60 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the particle. Thus, fine particle excellent in biodegradability and tactile sensation can be provided.

1-15. (canceled)
A composite particle comprising:
- a particle of cellulose or a cellulose derivative;
- and silica adhered to a surface of the particle,
- wherein the silica is a polymerized product of a tetraalkoxysilane in an amount of 1 to 60 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the particle.
A composite particle comprising:
- a particle of cellulose or a cellulose derivative;
- and silica adhered to a surface of the particle,
- wherein the particle is coated with silica in a specific surface area of 50% or more.
A method for producing a composite particle comprising a particle of cellulose or a cellulose derivative and silica adhered to a surface of the particle, the method comprising the step of:
- (1) in the presence of (A) a particle of cellulose or a cellulose derivative, water, and an alkali, hydrolyzing and condensing 1 to 60 parts by mass of (B) a tetraalkoxysilane with respect to 100 parts by mass of the (A) particle to form silica, and adhering the silica to a surface of the (A) particle to obtain the composite particle.
