Delivery aid for use with a stent delivery system

A delivery aid for use with a stent delivery catheter, comprising a handle;

• an actuation mechanism disposed at least partially within the handle;
• a first receptacle configured to removably receive a first handle of the stent delivery catheter therein;
• and a second receptacle configured to removably receive a second handle of the stent delivery catheter therein;
• wherein the actuation mechanism is configured to axially translate the second receptacle relative to the first receptacle to deploy a stent from the stent delivery catheter.

A stent delivery system, comprising:

• a stent delivery catheter comprising:
• an outer tubular member;
• an inner tubular member slidably disposed within the outer tubular member;
• a first handle secured to a proximal end of the inner tubular member;
• and a second handle secured to a proximal end of the outer tubular member;
• a stent radially constrained between the inner tubular member and the outer tubular member;
• and a delivery aid comprising:
• a handle;
• an actuation mechanism disposed at least partially within the handle;
• a first receptacle configured to removably receive the first handle of the stent delivery catheter therein;
• and a second receptacle configured to removably receive the second handle of the stent delivery catheter therein;
• wherein actuation of the actuation mechanism is configured to axially translate the outer tubular member relative to the inner tubular member to deploy the stent.
