Heart valve tissue cutting device

A heart valve tissue cutting device comprising:

• a housing formed with an elongate opening;
• a cutting guide arm pivoted to said housing by a hinge assembly, said cutting guide arm being formed with a slot;
• an actuator wire coupled to said cutting guide arm, wherein movement of said actuator wire causes said cutting guide arm to pivot outwards away from said housing;
• a cutting element comprising a blade with a sharp tip, said cutting element being coupled to a track link which is arranged to travel along a track in said housing;
• and
• an activation slider coupled to a slender element and movable in a passageway in said housing, wherein movement of said activation slider causes said track link and said cutting element to move along said track, and wherein when said track link is at one end of said track, said blade does not protrude out of said housing and when said track link is not at said end of said track, said blade protrudes out of said housing.
