Indexing tray for a beverage machine

Abstract

Aspects described herein relate to beverage machines and methods of brewing beverages therein. According to some embodiments, a beverage machine includes an indexing tray. The indexing tray may include a plurality of pod receptacles which may be moved to and from a brewing position. The indexing tray may move spent beverage material out of the brewing position. A user may remove the indexing tray from the beverage machine to remove spent beverage material from the beverage machine. According to other embodiments, the indexing tray may receive a cassette of beverage ingredients and position a beverage pod into position for brewing. Spent beverage material may be retained within the cassette. The user may remove and dispose of the cassette to remove spent beverage material from the beverage machine.
