A stackable holder of nestable containers such as food containers has walls including a bottom wall and at least one sloping wall that is a side wall. One of the walls has a cut-out and/or decoration layer. In any wall having a cut-out the cut-out occupies at least a certain percentage of the surface area of the wall. The one or more cut-outs or transparent window may be shaped to allow a user to view contents of the food container held by the holder. The cut-outs may be surrounded by solid portions of the wall that it is cut out of. At least one of the side wall cut-puts has a change in direction of its slope in a boundary of the cut-out, the boundary having upwardly and downwardly sloping segments. The side wall cut-outs may have a convexity ratio of less than 0.9 (or 0.8 or 0.7 or 0.6).
