Abstract
A therapeutic horseshoe is configured to be mounted on a hoof of a horse for treating laminitis of the hoof. The therapeutic horseshoe includes a shoe rail configured to be secured to the hoof; a compression plate configured to engage a frog portion of the hoof; and a biasing element disposed to urge the compression plate to exert pressure on the frog portion of the hoof.

A therapeutic horseshoe configured to be mounted on a hoof of a horse for treating laminitis of the hoof, the therapeutic horseshoe comprising:
- a shoe rail configured to be secured to the hoof;
- a compression plate configured to engage a frog portion of the hoof;
- and
- a biasing element disposed to urge the compression plate to exert pressure on the frog portion of the hoof.
