Fishing line guide and fishing rod including fishing line guide

A fishing line guide attached to a rod pipe of a fishing rod, comprising:

• a guide ring configured such that a fishing line passes through the guide ring;
• a ring holding portion formed in an annular shape and having an outer peripheral surface, an inner peripheral surface coupled to the guide ring, and an annular end surface formed between the outer peripheral surface and the inner peripheral surface and oriented in a tip direction or a butt direction of the fishing rod;
• a pair of lower legs extending downward from the ring holding portion to approach each other and having a bent-shaped cross section that is formed in a shape of a bent band when taken in a sectioning direction parallel to a central axis of the rod pipe;
• a pair of lateral legs connected to the ring holding portion above a position where the pair of lower legs are connected to the ring holding portion, extending from the ring holding portion downward and in an orientation direction of the annular end surface, arcuately bending to approach each other, and having a rectangular-shaped cross section that is formed in a rectangular shape when taken in a traversing direction orthogonal to an outermost surface;
• a first attachment foot extending from the pair of lower legs;
• and
• a second attachment foot extending from the pair of lateral legs,
• wherein, in a front view in which the fishing line guide is viewed in an opposite direction of the orientation direction of the annular end surface, each of the pair of lower legs has a front outer contour line that is tangent to a middle of the outer peripheral surface of the ring holding portion,
• wherein, in a rear view in which the fishing line guide is viewed in the orientation direction of the annular end surface, each of the pair of lateral legs has a rear outer contour line that arcuately bends to have an inflection point positioned outside the outer peripheral surface of the ring holding portion and is connected to the outer peripheral surface, and
• wherein, in a top view of the fishing line guide, the pair of lateral legs arcuately bend such that an intersection point of a pair of imaginary extension lines respectively passing through outward long sides of the rectangular-shaped cross section of the pair of lateral legs is positioned within the second attachment foot.
