Abstract

An implement operable with a tractor for cutting vegetation. The implement includes a deck having a front end, a rear end opposing the front end, and a longitudinal direction extending between the front end and the rear end. The implement also includes a blade assembly that rotatably couples to and housed inside of the deck. The implement also includes a blade guard pivotally engaged with the deck between a closed position and an open position. When the blade guard is provided in the open position, a portion of the blade assembly is exposed from the deck. When the blade guard is provided in the closed position, the blade assembly is shield by the blade guard. The blade guard is also pivot from the closed position to the open position based on a predetermined pressure is applied to the blade guard.
