Abstract
A broadcast receiving apparatus is configured to include: a tuner configured to receive a transmission wave, information regarding an injection level being stored in the transmission wave; and a controller. The controller is configured to identify that a rescanning process is required by using the information regarding the injection level contained in the transmission wave received by the tuner, the rescanning process being a setting process for receiving broadcast by the tuner.
Claims6
A broadcast receiving apparatus comprising:
- a tuner configured to receive an upper layer modulation wave and a lower layer modulation wave with a same frequency band, transmission electric powers of the upper layer modulation wave and the lower layer modulation wave being different from each other;
- a remote control receiver configured to receive a signal from a remote controller;
- and
- a controller configured to execute a rescanning process independently of the signal from the remote controller received by the remote control receiver, the rescanning process being a setting process for receiving broadcast by the tuner,
- wherein the controller is configured to:
- identify that the rescanning process is required by detecting a change in at least one of the transmission electric power of the upper layer modulation wave and the transmission electric power of the lower layer modulation wave;
- and
- execute the rescanning process.
