Abstract

A circuit device includes an oscillation circuit configured to cause a resonator to oscillate and generate an oscillation signal, a temperature compensation circuit including an operational amplifier and configured to output a temperature compensation voltage for an oscillation frequency of the oscillation signal to the oscillation circuit based on a temperature detection voltage from a temperature detection circuit, and a reference voltage generation circuit for temperature compensation configured to generate a reference voltage for temperature compensation and output the reference voltage to the temperature compensation circuit. The input limit voltage of the first input terminal of the operational amplifier has the temperature characteristic of the first polarity that is one of positive and negative, and the reference voltage input to the first input terminal of the operational amplifier has the temperature characteristic of the first polarity that is the same as the polarity of the temperature characteristic of the input limit voltage.
