A tube fastening and retention system is disclosed for mounting and securing removable paddles and kick-blade tubes to a base plate. The system includes a magnetic mounting assembly having one or more trays coupled to the base plate and a plurality of magnets that releasably retain an accessory paddle. A kick-blade tube retention assembly includes a kick-blade tube having at least one tab extending from a lower edge of the tube and a base plate having at least one arcuate slot configured to receive the tab to resist lateral movement of the tube, optionally with multiple arcuate slots and lock-out tags to restrict unauthorized slot selection. A collar assembly secures a tube by opposed grip plates disposed at a longitudinal slot in the collar, with gussets and fasteners that compress the collar onto the tube and drive serrations and/or pawl grips into the tube to inhibit slippage.
