A system for cleaning exhaust of a fuel cell system, the system comprising:
- at least one reservoir comprising a filtration cartridge with adsorbent/absorbent material configured to remove perfluoroalkyl and/or polyfluoroalkyl substances from the exhaust;
- and
- a release valve connected to an outlet port of the at least one reservoir.
