Abstract
A media presentation system ingests and stores media data for recordings (e.g., of events such as meetings, presentations, conferences) and provides short sections of media known as clips, that reference ranges of the full recording, with all clips referencing the same underlying media data stored by the system. The system also enables embedding of any number of arbitrarily sized (e.g., by time and dimensions) clips in a web page or document.

1-25. (canceled)
A computer-implemented method comprising:
- storing, in a media store, time-indexed content of a recording, the time-indexed content including at least one layer;
- associating, with an electronic document, reference data that identifies at least one portion of the time-indexed content with an identified temporal range;
- storing the electronic document and the reference data;
- in response to a request to render the electronic document, presenting the electronic document and, based on the reference data, presenting content derived from at least one layer of the time-indexed content for the identified temporal range;
- and
- processing a search query by searching within content of the electronic document and within data associated with the at least one portion, and providing results including matches found in either.
A system comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- one or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the system to:
- store, in a media store, time-indexed content of a recording, the time-indexed content including at least one layer;
- associate, with an electronic document, reference data that identifies at least one portion of the time-indexed content with an identified temporal range;
- store the electronic document and the reference data;
- in response to a request to render the electronic document, cause presentation of the electronic document and, based on the reference data, cause presentation of content derived from at least one layer of the time-indexed content for the identified temporal range;
- and
- process a search query by searching within content of the electronic document and within data associated with the at least one portion, and provide results including matches found in either.
A system comprising:
- a server system including a media store;
- and
- at least one user device communicatively coupled to the server system;
- wherein the server system is configured to:
- store, in the media store, time-indexed content of a recording, the time-indexed content including at least one layer;
- associate, with an electronic document, reference data that identifies at least one portion of the time-indexed content with an identified temporal range;
- store the electronic document and the reference data;
- and
- in response to a request from the at least one user device to render the electronic document, provide data enabling presentation of the electronic document and, based on the reference data, presentation of content derived from at least one layer of the time-indexed content for the identified temporal range;
- and wherein the server system is further configured to process a search query by searching within content of the electronic document and within data associated with the at least one portion, and to provide results including matches found in either.
