Abstract
A method and system for detecting the presence of a trailer includes: inflating a trailer supply line and/or using a pressurized trailer supply line; exhausting and/or deflating the trailer supply line; obtaining the pressure being formed in the trailer supply line during inflating and/or using and/or during exhausting and/or deflating; and determining, if a trailer is connected to the trailer supply line, based on the obtained pressure, in particular an obtained pressure curve.

A method for detecting a presence of a trailer, comprising:
- inflating a trailer supply line and/or using a pressurized trailer supply line;
- exhausting and/or deflating the trailer supply line;
- obtaining a pressure being formed in the trailer supply line during the inflating and/or using and/or during the exhausting and/or deflating;
- and
- determining when a trailer is connected to the trailer supply line based on the obtained pressure.
A system for detecting a presence of a trailer, the system comprising:
- a processor-based control unit operatively configured to:
- inflate a trailer supply line and/or use a pressurized trailer supply line;
- exhaust and/or deflate the trailer supply line;
- obtain a pressure being formed in the trailer supply line during the inflating and/or the using and/or during the exhausting and/or the deflating;
- and
- determine when a trailer is connected to the trailer supply line based on the obtained pressure.
