Vehicle management system

A vehicle management system comprising:

• a plurality of vehicles configured to move via unmanned driving;
• and
• a management device configured to manage an operation of the vehicles, wherein:
• each of the vehicles includes an external environment sensor configured to detect a surrounding obstacle;
• the management device includes
• a communication unit configured to receive a detection result of the external environment sensor,
• a controller configured to control, based on the detection result of the external environment sensor and a captured image obtained by a first surveillance camera capturing an image of a first area, the operation of the vehicles moving in the first area, and
• an output unit configured to output, in a case where a malfunction of the external environment sensor of some of vehicles among the vehicles moving in the first area is detected, information indicating a possibility of a failure in the external environment sensor in which the malfunction is detected;
• and
• the controller is configured to control, in a case where the malfunction of the external environment sensor of each of the vehicles moving in the first area is detected, the operation of the vehicles moving in the first area based on the captured image obtained by the first surveillance camera.
