A non-transitory computer readable medium storing an electronic device recognition processing program causing a computer to execute a process comprising:

• executing, in a case of connecting a second serial interface provided in an electronic device to a first serial interface provided in an information processing system, verification of connection information, which is information used for connecting the second serial interface, in a predetermined order;
• recognizing the connection information of the second serial interface based on a verification result of the connection information of the second serial interface;
• and
• connecting, in a case where the information processing system transitions to a power saving mode and then returns to a normal state and in a case where previous connection information of the second serial interface has been acquired, the electronic device using the previous connection information.

An electronic device recognition processing method comprising:

• executing, in a case of connecting a second serial interface provided in an electronic device to a first serial interface provided in an information processing system, verification of connection information, which is information used for connecting the second serial interface, in a predetermined order;
• recognizing the connection information of the second serial interface based on a verification result of the connection information of the second serial interface;
• and
• connecting, in a case where the information processing system transitions to a power saving mode and then returns to a normal state and in a case where previous connection information of the second serial interface has been acquired, the electronic device using the previous connection information.
