Abstract
Provided is an industrial printing system that efficiently processes jobs in groups. The schedule management unit centrally manages the schedule setting for processing jobs in component apparatuses. The Group Management Section generates group jobs that summarize jobs according to generation rule that indicate how to summarize jobs, and performs simulation to assign group jobs to available schedule setting. The processing management unit makes the corresponding component apparatus process the generated group jobs according to the simulation result.
Claims15
An industrial printing system that performs production printing, comprising:
- a schedule management unit configured to centrally manage schedule setting for processing jobs on component apparatuses;
- a group management unit configured to generate a group job by grouping jobs in accordance with a generation rule that indicates how to group jobs and performs a simulation of allocating the group job to an available space in the schedule setting managed by the schedule management unit;
- and
- a processing management unit configured to cause a corresponding component apparatus to process the group job generated according to result of the simulation performed by the group management unit.
A management server that manages jobs for component apparatuses in an industrial printing system that performs production printing, comprising:
- a schedule management unit configured to centrally manage schedule setting for processing of jobs on component apparatuses;
- a group management unit configured to generate a group job by grouping jobs in accordance with a generation rule that indicates how to group jobs and performs a simulation of allocating the group job to an available space in a schedule setting managed by the schedule management unit;
- and
- a processing management unit configured to cause a corresponding component apparatus to process the group job generated according to result of the simulation performed by the group management unit.
A processing management method executed by a management server that manages jobs of component apparatuses in an industrial printing system that performs production printing, comprising the steps of:
- centrally managing schedule setting for processing of jobs on component apparatuses;
- generating a group job by grouping jobs in accordance with a generation rule that indicates how to group jobs;
- performing a simulation of allocating the group job to an available space in the managed schedule setting;
- causing the corresponding component apparatus to process the generated group job according to the results of the simulation.
