Abstract
A security sensor unit (1) includes: a millimeter wave sensor section (10); an object classification section (20) that classifies a contour of an object in a detection area; a motion classification section (30) that classifies a motion of the object; an alarming determination section (40) that determines whether to activate an alarm by using results given by the object classification section (20) and the motion classification section (30); and an alarming section (50) that activates an alarm.
Claims14
A security sensor unit which detects an object having entered a detection area and activates an alarm, the security sensor unit comprising:
- a millimeter wave sensor section;
- an object classification section which classifies a contour of the object in the detection area, the contour having been derived by using an output from the millimeter wave sensor section;
- a motion classification section which classifies a motion value indicative of a motion of the object, the motion having been derived by using an output from the millimeter wave sensor section;
- an alarming determination section which determines, by using classification results given by the object classification section and the motion classification section, whether to activate an alarm;
- and
- an alarming section which activates an alarm in accordance with a result given by the alarming determination section.
A method for controlling a security sensor unit which detects an object having entered a detection area and activates an alarm, the security sensor unit including a millimeter wave sensor section, the method comprising:
- an object classification step of classifying a contour of the object in the detection area, the contour having been derived by using an output from the millimeter wave sensor section;
- a motion classification step of classifying a motion of the object, the motion having been derived by using an output from the millimeter wave sensor section;
- an alarming determination step of determining, by using results obtained in the object classification step and the motion classification step, whether to activate an alarm;
- and
- an alarming step of activating an alarm in accordance with a result obtained in the alarming determination step.
