Providing vehicle route recommendations indicating travelling time in relation to fuel consumption

A computer-implemented method for providing vehicle route recommendations, comprising:

• receiving, by processing circuitry of a computer system, a destination input request from a driver of a vehicle, the destination input request indicating a desired destination for the vehicle;
• determining, by the processing circuitry, one or more route suggestions from a current location of the vehicle to the desired destination;
• employing, by the processing circuitry, a machine learning model to perform an assessment for each route suggestion, each assessment comprising a separation of data into a plurality of transformation process modules, wherein:
• a first transformation process module includes map data for said each route suggestion,
• a second transformation process module includes cruise controller data of a cruise controller functionality associated with the vehicle,
• a third transformation process module includes truck data of the vehicle, and
• the machine learning model is configured to process the data of the plurality of transformation process modules through a plurality of neural networks;
• and
• providing, by the processing circuitry, one or more route recommendations based on outputs from the machine learning model, each route recommendation comprising a cruise controller setting and its expected influence on travelling time of the vehicle in relation to its fuel consumption from the current location to the desired destination.
