Apparatus for optical coherence tomography

A portable apparatus for accommodating an Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) system,

• the portable apparatus comprising:
• A) a first end face proximal to a user when using the portable apparatus and comprising at least one aperture for directing light to at least one eye of the user;
• B) a plurality of compartments comprising at least:
• a) a first compartment for accommodating a set of one or more optical components for directing light from a light source to the at least one eye;
• and
• b) a second compartment for accommodating a set of one or more further components of the OCT system;
• the second compartment spaced from the first end face by at least the first compartment;
• and
• C) a wall positioned between the first compartment and second compartment and extending substantially across the portable apparatus so as to provide thermal insulation between the first compartment and the second compartment.
