Lamp with functional indicator

A system comprising:

• a lamp, wherein the lamp comprises:
• a base comprising an insulator, wherein the insulator comprises a functional indicator;
• a lamp envelope, wherein the base is secured to the lamp envelope;
• and
• at least one light source enclosed within a volume of the lamp defined by the base and the lamp envelope,
• wherein the functional indicator corresponds to an operating mode of the at least one light source such that when the at least one light source is operated, the at least one light source operates in accordance with the operating mode;
• and
• an enclosure, wherein the lamp is enclosed within the enclosure.

A method comprising:

• identifying a functional indicator associated with a lamp, wherein the lamp comprises:
• a base comprising an insulator, wherein the insulator comprises the functional indicator;
• a lamp envelope, wherein the base is secured to the lamp envelope;
• and
• at least one light source enclosed within a volume of the lamp defined by the base and the lamp envelope,
• wherein the functional indicator corresponds to an operating mode of the at least one light source;
• causing the at least one light source to operate in accordance with the operating mode in response to detecting an activation trigger;
• and
• causing the at least one light source to stop operating in accordance with the operating mode in response to detecting a deactivation trigger.
