Method of forming a grating having variable height transverse bars

Abstract

A grating having a plurality of bearing bars and a plurality of transverse bars which are orthogonally oriented to one another. The plurality of transverse bars includes a first transverse bar and a second transverse bar which differ in dimension from one another. Grating includes a plurality of slots defined in each of the plurality of bearing bars. Each of the plurality of transverse bars is receivable within a complementary slot of the plurality of slots. The plurality of slots includes a first slot and a second slot which differ in dimension from one another. A top of each of plurality of slots is offset a distance from a top of the bearing bar. Grating may include one or more additional transverse bars which differ in dimension from the first and second transverse bar and one or more additional slot which differ in dimension from the first and second slot.
